Eluned Morgan AM
Wales has always been an outward looking nation and how we engage internationally is vital to the future prosperity of Wales. At this crucial moment, when our relationship with the rest of the world is being influenced by the Brexit negotiations, I want to send a clear message that we in Wales will not be turning our back on the world and that we remain firmly open for business and will welcome trade and investment to our great country. France is a key market for us, and Wales Week á Paris is an excellent opportunity for organisations in Wales to promote their products and services across its Capital. I’m delighted that we’re involved in its first year and emphasise our presence from our new offices in the capital and showcase the very best of Welsh creativity.

Wales Week à Paris is facilitating the UK Government’s global trading ambitions by taking the Wales Week initiative overseas – branching out into exciting cities around the world including Paris.
And the launch of Le Club - Wales France Business Forum, will see this forum provide a home for strengthened Franco-Welsh relations where business representatives from all sectors can network and learn from each other.
It is wonderful to be involved in Wales Week à Paris - the initiative compliments the aims of the Paris Welsh Society, which since 1890, have been to bring together Welsh people working, visiting or resident in the Paris area to enjoy and share their cultural heritage with others, through the Society's various activities. The Paris Welsh Society is happy to support this welcome intiative and further bring Wales to the fore in Paris and throughout France.
Wales Week à Paris is a superb initiative and we're delighted that the launch of the Wales France Business Forum, at the British Embassy in Paris, is first of many activities and events that will promote and celebrate Wales in one of the world's most beautiful capital cities for many years to come.
